The question that I want to explore is: What U.S. state has the highest arrest rate of prostitution? The dataset used was the UCR Crime Data 2014.
The data were renamed and only U.S states and prostitution arrests were kept in order to answer the question. The data were then arranged in descending order highlighting the state with the highest rate of prostitution arrests per 100,000 of the population and the state with the lowest rate of prostitution arrests per 100,000 of the population.
It is important to note that the results are per 100,000 of the population

According to the data, Nevada had the highest level of prostitution arrests per 100,000 of the population with a value of approximately 134.80; meaning that around 4,004 people were arrested for prostitution in 2014 if the population was approximately 3 million. The states that tied with having no prostitution arrests were District of Columbia (D.C) and Alabama. However, Montana technically had the lowest prostitution arrests per 100,000 with a value of 0.78 per 100,000 of the population; meaning that approximately 8 people were arrested in 2014 from a population of approximately 1 million.
