Software carpentry @ UBC

Here are the results of our Feb 5 + 6th Software Carpentry Workshop at UBC taught by Ted Hart and Ethan White. We had a total of 52 people who wished to register, of which we allowed 42 to register, of which 35 attended. We had 21 attendies from UBC and 14 from SFU. We were very successful in hitting our target audience of EE folks, with the exception of 3 people who came from SFU Archaelogy. We achieved these numbers by only advertising in just three departments: UBC Zoology/BioDiv, UBC Forestry, and SFU Biology. You can find a blog post with the standard feedback that we take from students. We go around the room and ask for one bad and one good thing from each student.
