The purpose of this analysis is to cut down the amount of Price Codes we are currently using. I will be using a type of Unsupervised Machine Learning called K-Means Clustering. The goal of this algorithm is to find groups in the data, with the number of groups represented by the variable k. The algorithm works iteratively to assign each data point to one of k groups based on the features that are provided. Data points are clustered based on feature similarity.

We need to check if we have any missing data because this algorithm does not work with missing values.

I removed the missing values which did not count for much.

K-Means Clustering Analysis

The first step is to define the number of Clusters (k). Then there are k centroids that are randomly generated from the data with each centroid defining a cluster. Each data point is then assigned to its nearest centroid based on Squared Euclidean Distance.

The second step is recomputing the centroids by taking the mean of all the data points in the new clusters.

The Algorithm for K-means iterates through these two steps until the sum of the squared distances is minimized or no data points change clusters.
