\(\textbf{APPLICATIONS FORMS}\)

  • The University of Liberia (UL) issues out application form in triplicate to students wishing to apply for graduation;

  • The UL customarily clears students for graduation in two distinct categories on the basis of the time of completion of total academic course load:

  • \(\textbf{CATEGORY ONE (1)}\) – students who complete all their academic course load no later than the first semester of the graduating year. Course load must be completed before or at the end of the first semester;

  • \(\textbf{CATEGORY TWO (2)}\) – students who completed their academic course load at the end of the second semester of the graduating year;

  • The Office of Enrollment Services (OES), UL has given out 828 and 4,096 application forms for category one and two, respectively.

\(\textbf{CATEGORY ONE}\)

  • The OES UL has given out 828 category one Application Forms for December 2018 Graduation;

  • 517 of those forms were filled out and returned to OES for clearing;

  • 485 Applicants have been vetted;

    • From the 485 Applicants vetted, 352 students successfully completed courses enshrined in their curricula;

    • From the 485 Applicants vetted, 133 students have unsatisfied grades in some courses and are therefore labelled denied.

\(\textbf{CATEGORY TWO B}\)

1,959 students successfully completed courses enshrined in their curricula;

3,089 students are cleared under all categories

225 students are cleared from the Graduate Schools

60 students are cleared from the Law School

\(\textbf{CATEGORY TWO}\)

  • The OES UL has given out 4096 category two Application Forms for December 2018 Graduation;

  • 2,441 of those forms were filled out and returned to OES for clearing;

  • 942 Applicants have been vetted;

    • From the 942 Applicants vetted, 778 students successfully completed courses enshrined in their curricula and are therefore cleared;;
  • 164 candidates have unsatisfied grades in some courses and are therefore labelled denied;

  • 7 candidates (one from the Management Department and six from the Sociology Department) are brought forward from CATEGORY ONE. This gives us the total of 785 candidates.

  • 1,130 applicants already cleared from both Categories;
  • 297 candidates are denied from both Categories due to unsatisfied grades in some required courses;

    • 378 forms returned from Graduate and Professional Schools;

    • Our staff are working very hard but will not meet up with the October 31, 2018 deadline.

 

  • \(\textbf{Given the huge task and limited time, with deadline set at Oct. 31, }\) \(\textbf{2018, the OES is appealing for one additional week to }\) \(\textbf{complete the clearance process.}\)

  • The OES has received from departments and colleges a total of 2,958 graduation application forms for both category one and two.

  • The hardworking staff at OES have vetted 287 forms, clearing 267, and denying 20.

  • Given the huge task and limited time, with deadline set at Oct. 31, 2018; the OES is appealing for food and transportation to encourage her staff work overtime.
