  • Identifying Health Care Professionals with high propensity to prescribe certain drugs and final scoring of top 30% from exhaustive list of 1.1 million HCPs (33,000 from Asthma prescribing category)
  • Customer Segmentation and Targeting based on demographics, multichannel behavior and other attributes using Predictive Models and Interactive Dashboards (R Shiny, Tableau) to analyze past trends
  • Improved Gradient Boosting Model performance by 5% using hyperparameter tuning

Diamond Scaffolding Company, West Bengal, India

Senior Business Analyst - Operations and Marketing
  • Applied demand forecasting techniques, inventory analytics to monitor sales efficiency and facilitate timely delivery of products to construction projects while reducing transportation cost by 15%???
  • Formulated Marketing strategies to finalize vendors and dealers for high volume projects(> $1 million)

Honda Cars India Ltd, Noida, India

Business Analyst - Connected Cars and Aftersales Digitization
  • Part of Honda’s data driven transition to build an ‘Internet of Things’ platform. Successfully developed and marketed the ‘Honda Connect’ OBD device having Telematics technology
    • Collaborated with Honda R&D team based in Thailand to study customer riding experience by mining numerical data like Engine RPM, Coolant Temperature, Engine Start/Stop time, etc and performed regression/classification analysis to find relations between response and predictor variables.
    • Designed Honda Connect App and built Tableau Dashboards for the following: Live Location Tracking of Vehicle, Trip Analysis, Engine Health monitoring, Dealership Service Status, Insurance claims, etc
    • Worked on SQL Server, R and Advanced Excel to extract & analyze sales data, spare parts data, customer feedback data, application analytics-downloads (iOS/Android) ratings and used Oracle Business Intelligence tool(OBIEEE) to develop reports for LLC programs.
  • Part of Field CS Operations-auditing Dealerships(following Honda Service Operations processes). Achieved CSI score of 901/1000

Academic Projects

  • Campaign Analysis for Financial Institution: Analysis to predict the probability of a client subscribing to a term deposit using client attributes data, contact duration and financial data(loans, credit default, balance, etc.). Computed and compared various classification algorithms including Logistic Regression, KNN, Random Forests, Boosting, Support Vector Machines. Final model had 26.5% Misclassification Rate, AUC of 0.79 and test KS metric of 46.6%

  • Airbnb/Zillow Profitable Properties Project: Engineered clustering techniques and advanced decision tree algorithms to evaluate properties with high return on investments i.e. between 10% and 20%. The top neighbourhood had 60% of zip codes.

  • Amend Consulting Project: Worked on an Analytics project for a major US based stair parts manufacturing company-Stairtek spanning 13 million dollars as annual turnover. (Client of Amend Consulting LLC). Focused on informed data driven decisions, material flow optimization and pricing analysis:
    • Built a Lead Time Recommendation tool for the Purchase Department. It had Customized Interactive Drop down menus that captured the dimension and wood species type of the required stair case and predicted the cost and estimated time of delivery for different suppliers.
    • Helped in identifying wood species that would contribute to 34.5% of the annual sales.
    • Lowered the avg. pricing difference of species from $45.6 to almost 0.
    • Identified top 10 species that contributed to only 1% of the total annual sales but accounted for 10% of the total cost. Suggested elimination of some species from this group.
    • Worked on Vendor Closure Rate base on parts ordered and parts received data. 6 vendors had 100% same day P.O closure and the top Vendor had a track record of 19 consistent days.
    • Helped in improving material flow efficiency by tracking major vendors who defaulted close to 66% of total purchase orders by supplying wrong quantity of ordered products
    • Built a linear model to suggest that there was a slight possibility of quick delivery for fairly high quantities.
    • Tools Used: R, Excel, Tableau, .NET(IT team)
  • Effect of Marketing Campaigns on Customer Transactions: Studied and analysed the effect of company sales before and after campaigns:
    • Analysed the effect of different campaigns, different attributes(salary bracket), customer sentiment after campaigns were started, and also its effect on different departments and time slots.
    • Products that were deemed necessary for continuous supply were from major departments like Nutrition, Housewares and Store Supplies.
    • Concluded that individuals within the salary bracket of $50-74k had spent the most.
    • Performed Analysis for different Campaigns (A,B and C): Campaign B was the clear winner with maximum number of coupons being redeemed from the customers belonging to this category
    • There was a considerable rise in the total sales value and such marketing campaigns do have a positive impact on customer sentiment towards purchase of products.
    • Tools Used: R, R Markdown, SQL
  • Trainee, Orange Tree Global Analytics: Worked as an Analytics Student Consultant on several projects ranging from Customer Satisfaction Analysis in FMCGs to Credit Risk Analysis for Financial Firms

  • Research Associate, Warwick Manufacturing Group: Selected among 145 students to pursue a fully funded research internship in UK where I designed and fabricated a Virtual Automotive Battery Module using Micro-CT reconstruction technology and used Volume Graphics software for visualization and data cleaning
