The future of natural language processing and text prediction is NOW!!!

  • Who doesn't love texting?! It sure beats talking to people, am I right?
  • My firm has conducted almost three studies indicating an alarming trend: texting may soon become the modern phone call! I'll give you a moment to process your terror.
  • We are here to save the day. From our excess of one study, we discovered that text users don't like the intimacy of conversation, but they also aren't fond of thinking. So, we have reluctantly stepped in to do the thinking for humanity- for a (temporarily) small fee.

But how does it work?

  • I could bore you with tales of traing sets, n-grams, and prediction models, and I will, but here's a public domain drawing of a rabbit… or is it a duck? Trick question. It's a distraction.
  • Sufficed to say, we took data from news, blogs, and Twitter, cleaned it, polished it, smoothed it, and generated a prediction algorithm that is second to none!
  • By comparing known bigrams to known trigrams, we were able to train a prediction model for phrases. See? I told you it was boring. Focus on the drawing.

But how easy is it to use?

  • As with many text predictors, simply enter a two- or three-word phrase into the text box, without punctuation, in lowercase, and click on the ENTER button.
  • Get the output word you wanted to say (but were too lazy to write) in mere seconds! Our proprietary prediction algorithm will weigh your bigram or trigram against an inventory that has been analyzed rigorously.
  • Even better, sometimes you get a word of which you didn't even think! But who are you to argue with technology? Give in to the science! The Simple Good-Turing Method has never been this exciting!

Now is the time to join the future of text prediction!

  • Like the classic line from Blade Runner, “more human than human is our motto.” We will gain the trust of humanity and almost immediately exploit it.
  • For each stake of only $2 million, investors are entitled to 0.1% ownership in this endeavor. Watch the returns role in as we gradually replace perfect text prediction with advertising: I'm loving… it! What else? Just do… it! This is almost too easy. (Join us, McDonald's, Nike!)
  • Coming soon! The Profanity Progression: our latest update will take advantage of “natural foul language processing,” our latest contribution to the devolution of society. Rated MA, for Mistaken for Adjectives.
