About the map

Making this map in Leaflet I used three elements from the Developing Data Products course:

  1. First I used add markers to show particular places on a map. My example is from my research and the map shows the location of the Special Economic Zones administrations in Poland (which have become the focal point for industrial development in Poland after EU membership - for example investors can get tax credits if they invest here).

  2. Next I used the idea that we can show circles that exhibit scales depending on a specific variable. Here I chose cumulative investments into the areas governed by each administration in ths. PLN at the end of 2016.

  3. Finally, I used also the programming from class whereby the map links to webpages. So when you click the popup you can see the name of each zones administration and it will redirect you to the webpage of the administration where you can file your application for making an investment :-)
