Child BMI calculator

In this project I'am being asked to create a shiny application.

The application includes the following:

• A radio , slider and numeric input.
• When choosing the input the reactive output is the calculation of the BMI and the classification for a Child.
• There's also documentation so that a novice user can use the application.
• The documentation is deployed at the Shiny website itself.

For children, doctors use the same calculation for the BMI-measurement as they use for adults, but there is a other way of classifying. I choose to classifie the weight of children in four steps:

1. Underweight
2. Normel weight
3. Overweight
4. Obese

In the case of children there is a difference in classification for girls or boys; that's why there's a radiobutton to choose the gender of your child. The classification is also depending on the age of the child. Every year, from 2 years up to 18 years, every year of age has an own calssification.

To give an example: a child which is 8 years old and has a BMI of 18.4 would be classified: “Normal weighted” if it where a boy, but would your child be a girl then she would be classified as overweighted.

Every parent want's his or her child to be healthy, but the number of children that are obese (or overweighted) is growing. It would be important to see the doctor when your child is being overweighted or even worse being obese. With the help of this application every parent can calculate their childrens BMI and even more important: they can see the classification of their child. Would the classification be: overweight or obese, then you now that you have to do something about it.
