from devastating financial impacts due to losses in property value and filming location revenue
(which used to be very common in West Adams due to the historical houses), it is also taking a toll
on the health of those of us on the ground: increase in respiratory ailments due to fine
particulates in jet fuel, sleep deprivation, hypertension, as well as anxiety, depression, loss of
focus, etc. Just to describe a little bit about how this has affected my life.... I purchased a
giant jug of ear plugs and now have to sleep with those AND my air conditioning unit running on fan
setting just to drown out the noise. I still wake up on a regular basis however when jets roar over
my house at all hours of the night. I regularly file 3-4 complaints on LAWA's app between the hours
of midnight and 5:30am. That means my sleep is getting disrupted MULTIPLE times a night on a REGULAR
basis. When I come home from work in the evenings, I often sit in my car in my driveway, in tears,
not wanting to go inside my own home and spend the rest of the evening barraged by jet noise., Los

Aircraft are now overflying my community of Lake Arrowhead, CA 92352 at 2,000 AGL !. The destination
airport (KONT with Airport Elevation of 944 MSL) for this arrival route is 30 statute miles (direct
route) away. The aircraft are overlying this community at an AGL (Above Ground Level) at an "Above
Ground Levels" LOWER THAN the final approach segment (FAF - Fix Approach Fix) to the landing
destination runway threshold.There are nearly 30,000+ persons within my community that are so
affected. Previous to the establishment of this NEXGEN (EAGLZ TWO RNAV ARRIVAL) route change was the
long established (35 years that I know of) ZIGGY SIX Arrival to KONT (This former routing was over
UNINHABITED LAND- MOSTLY BLM LAND) The land was so uninhabited as that it was over (through DECADES)
was the prescribed arrival route to KONT and other surrounding larger airports. (For the record I
am a RETIRED AIRLINE CAPTAIN (Highly experience B747, DC10, DC8, B727) and have flown the
former/long established ZIGGY SIX ARRIVAL into KONT (Ontario International Airport) with all stated
aircraft. There was AT NO TIME ANY DIFFICULITY flying this routing nor WERE THERE ANY SO "TAWS"

community in Newbury Park. Our quiet skies nestled in the Santa Monica National Reserve has become
an airplane haven. All hours of early morning, evening and overnight flights are in enroute now,
since May of 2017, above our homes causing disturbance, noise, sleepless nights. I am a single
mother of two sons and we are awoken nightly by the sound of jets echoing off the beautiful
mountains that are right behind my house. I work full time and the wear and tear of losing sleep
every single night is starting to take its toll on my health. This is a Chumash Indian sacred area
that leads to the Pacific Ocean. Not a place for an airshow of planes flying above. We already have
Pt. Magu right on the other side of our mountains. That is enough noise but understandedly the
Military and we accept it. But saddling us with plane routes right above our community is
completely unfair. There have been other cities that have filed law suits against the FAA and the
community of Newbury Park is following suit. Many of us moved to Newbury Park and Dos Vientos to
escape the fast paced, highly populated San Fernando Valley area that garners traffic, noise
pollution, LAX, Burbank airports, strip malls, apartments. We came here to raise our families in
the clean air and quiet nature. We pay A LOT to live here and we are very unhappy with this change.
Now for the last nearly year, we have been inundated with airplane noise, exhaust trails, every few
minutes. NextGen decides to change their routes to go right over a sleepy little quiet community
where we have an ecosystem of wildlife including Mountain Lions, Bob Cats, Dear, Racoon, birds of
prey and beautiful skies and waterways. Now it sounds like an airport landing strip all day and
night! All we are asking is for Nexgen to move the route of these planes away from our city and
community a mile or two east. We are worried the noise is going to affect our property values. I
have had my letters to the editors printed in local newspapers and was one of the first people to
complain and go to public forum about the sudden noise and plane disturbances. We can not have our
windows open at night...not unless we want to be woken up every 2 minutes between 11pm-2am then
again at 4 or 5am. Please take our city and its residents seriously and respectively. We do not
deserve to be saddled with this disruption in our community because of the FAA or Nextgen!Vanessa
