Data Parameters
– How many tweets? We sampled 1000 tweets over the course of ten days (March 26 and April 5, 2018). We used the search terms “#allergies” and “#allergyseason”.
– What was our method? We used the search_tweets function in order to sample the tweets.

Some tweets were about natural remedies to allergies that involved alternative forms of medicine or treatment, as well as homeopathy.
Many of the tweets were by medical professionals who aimed to inform the general public of the seriousness of allergy season and how widespread it is across the United States.
More than one person used these Big Sean lyrics to discuss the allergy season that comes with Spring, including taking selfies.
