This plot shows the distribution of hospitals in Pennsylvania. The cities of Pittsburg, Philadelphia and Allentown have a higher concentration of hospitals as compared to north of the state that shows sparse frequency of hospitals. There are relatively moderate number of hospitals around Harrisburg
This plot illustrates the distribution of hospitals in Pennsylvania by service speciality of those hospitals. General and Surgical hospitals are in highest frequency followed by the Long-term Acute care, Psychiatric and Rehabilitation hospitals. It is surprising to note a remarkably lower number of Alcoholism-Drug Abuse care hospitals, especially given the crime records analysis of the state in previous exercises.
