#1 All Hospitals in Pennsylvania

This plot shows the distribution of hospitals in Pennsylvania. The cities of Pittsburg, Philadelphia and Allentown have a higher concentration of hospitals as compared to north of the state that shows sparse frequency of hospitals. There are relatively moderate number of hospitals around Harrisburg

#2: Distribution of Hospitals in Pennsylvania with Service Types

This plot illustrates the distribution of hospitals in Pennsylvania by service speciality of those hospitals. General and Surgical hospitals are in highest frequency followed by the Long-term Acute care, Psychiatric and Rehabilitation hospitals. It is surprising to note a remarkably lower number of Alcoholism-Drug Abuse care hospitals, especially given the crime records analysis of the state in previous exercises.

#3 Distribution of hospital beds cross the state of Pennsylvania

This plot shows the distribution of beds in Pennsylvania hospitals. Darker gradient colors indicate lesser number of beds in hospitals, while the lighter gradient indicate an incresingly higher number of beds in hospitals. The graph indicates that most of the hospitals in PA are in 100-500 beds range. The fewer hospitals with >1000 number of beds are in the high hospital density areas, which is intuitive since the areas around Pittsburg, Phiadelphia and Allentown are expected to be more populous areas of the state.
