Something about me!
I’m Anitha Vallikunnel, a MS in Business Analytics student at the Lindner College of Business. 53 months of experience at Deloitte and technical startups in India have exposed me to multifaceted business problems. Having seen the influence of data in corporate decisions, it excites me to take up high impact business problems and facilitate the consumption of insights by applying the art of structured problem solving. I also happen to be an accidental artist and a book worm. If you are interested in discussing analytics or art or books, connect with me!
My break into Consulting at Deloitte was a game changer. I started my career as a Business Technology Analyst for a large Healthcare payer in the US. I built business intelligence dashboards with Key Performance Indicators accessed by the clientele leadership team to take critical business decisions.
While I tapped into the knowledge Deloitte provided me, I realized that there is a need to understand business closely. The prospect of finding a needle in the proverbial data haystack and building products that have a promising impact on society prompted me to join Smartpocket, one of the 25 startups featured in Google Launchpad, India. My craving to work on data analytics, statistics grew stronger and my role became more challenging when Smartpocket was acquired by Goodbox - a startup building mobile payment solutions in India. I was working as Data analyst at GreedyGame, native advertising platform for mobile games and apps before joining UC.
Currently I am a Graduate Assistant at Center for Business Analytics at UC

Since I used python heavily for analytics during my career, my experience with R is minimal. I have been learning R from Coursera and working with it as a part of the course curriculum.
