Compare results reported on page 4.14 and 4.18 of the lecture slides, write a few paragraphs to describe the differences.
The MLE regression function is a statistical function to determine the standard deviation and mean of two or more variables. In slides, 4.14 and 4.18 the function was used to illustrate the correlation between education and income. Both regressions have the same like display which shows the standard deviation mean and t test.
The first slide that I have examined is 4.14. When analyzing this slide beta 1 represents the intersept its standard deviation suggests that a person with no education begins at -0.65207. The beta 2 estimates the slope for each increase of 1 in education income increases by 0.37613.
The 4.18 slide evaluates the relationship between education and income differently than 4.14. In this slide we are examining the effect education has on income. Theta 1 represents the Y intercept of the effect of education on income and theta 2 represents the effect of education as increases on income. This slide states that incomes standard deviation is 0.109081 as education increases.
I believe after reviewing both models. both models would change dreastically. Under 4.14, I assume that we will see that age will have a positive effect on income. Under model two I assume that we will see a third line for the variable age and will be known as theta 3. I believe the slope after adding this variable will be higher than education because of the length of numerical outcomes of this variable.
