There are three age groups observed in this study: 18-24, 25-29, and 30-34. Among these age groups, ages 18-24 have the lowest number of individuals that smoke everday. The largest age group among the non-smokers, or those who answered “Not at all,” are ages 30-34. It is also noteworthy that the number of indivdiuals who smoke “some days” are similar among all three age groups.
Most of the respondents, regardless of the age groups, have answered that they drink once a week. The number of individuals who answered “once a week” are similar among all three age groups. This is unexpected, as the age group 18-24 includes ages that are not legal to drink - the expectation was that the 18-24 age group would have lowest numbers in all range of drinking frequency, due to legal drinking age being 21.
There seems to be a significant overlap amongst individuals who smoke and drink regularly. More than half of the smokers have responded that they drink more than three times a week. Of those individuls who drink at least three times a week, 43% has responded that they smoke sometimes or everyday in a given week.
