One thing I forgot before class today was the meaning of confidence levels used in confidence intervals. For 95% confidence intervals, if one were to create a large number of confidence intervals, then about 95% of those intervals will contain the true value of the parameter. In a general sense, (1-a)% of (1-a)% confidence intervals will contain the true value of the parameter.
