I was a little fuzzy on how to determine if a null hypothesis should be accepted or rejected. I remembered that it had something to do with the alpha value, but I forgot about the p-value. I did not remember how to calculate p-values. Today we talked about how to do one-sided confidence intervals and two-sided confidence intervals. This was really helpful becuase it reminded me how to split boundaries into alpha/2 or alpha depending on whether we were doing one-sided or two-sided confidence intervals. I also learned how to find the p-value on R.
Today was my first real time using RStudio. I know how to use Matlab really well, and all programming languages are somewhat similar, but it was cool to be introduced to R and RStudio. I am looking forward to using it and learning how to use it to calculate statistics from large quantities of data. At my internship, lots of people used R, so I am excited to be able to tell them I learend R this semester when I go back to start my job.
