This document provides an illustration of the flow of individuals who have progressed from the two most heavily used programs in the database: Mobile Crisis and the Walk-in Program.
The breakdown of individuals who have utilized any program more than once by the broad program categories is provided below (both Mobile Crisis and Walk-In Program are illustrated seperately from their respective broader program types):
As seen above, repeat clients generally comprise a fraction of the total clients in any given program. This is particularly true for Mobile Crisis, while the difference between the numbers of first-time and repeat clients for the Walk-In Program is smaller.
Now lets look strictly at repeat clients (i.e. indicated by the blue bar in the chart above). Focusing only on the clients who entered the database either through the Mobile Crisis program or the Walk-In Program, the graph below illustrates their transition into subsequent phases.
As evidenced above, the vast majority of repeat clients who enter through the Mobile Crisis program (indicated by the colour blue) transition into the following three program types (in descending order):
With respect to repeat clients who enter through the Walk-In Program (indicated by the colour red), the vast majority transition into the following two programs:
At every subsequent phase, only less than half the clients transition into any program once more. The three programs where the vast majority of such clients transition into are (in descending order):
Overall, repeat clients who enter through the Mobile Crisis program exhibit a much closer association with the Housing program than do clients who enter through the Walk-In Program. This trend holds true even in subsequent phases.
In contrast, repeat clients who use the Walk-In Program appear persistently attached with it, as most of them transition into the same program at every phase.
