Brief Introduction

  • An analysis of the relationship between the birth rates of different countries and the number of internet users in these countries.

  • The countries have also been grouped into four income bands.

Analysis

  • The chart plots the birth rates on the y axis and the proportion of internet users on the x axis

  • The chart points have also been colour coded by their income group

Conclusion

  • On average, the higher the number of internet users, the lower the birth rate. Income also shows a similar relationship, with high internet usage and low birth rates in the high income band.

  • These obseravtions more likely explained by education/literacy levels, which are not measured in this data.
