As I studied in U.S for four years and worked two years, I finally be able to get my work visa and get a job I think I could work for long time. So I would like to apply my first loan to finance a new car, since I have to drive to go to work. I know that the traditional loan is not the best option because it usually have a higher interest rate. So I would like to take advantage of peer to peer landing. After search online I find that lending club may be the better choice and I would like to see what elements will impact my loan application.
Lending Club provides downloadable data set for loan statistics in csv format from the following link https://www.lendingclub.com/info/download-data.action. I will use the loan data for 2017 and the declined loan data for 2017. I will use the csv format for loan data and store the declined loan data in mysql to make sure I have two different data type
I will do analysis to see what are most common loan type and how much laon people get according to job, income, and yesrs of work experience. For the declined loan, I will also see what characteristics those applicants shares.
