I love history so here is some basic history on the events leading up to the Revolutionary War.
This is the year ending the Seven Years War also known as the end of salutary neglect because the British started to enforce strict rules on the colonists.
British Prime Ministers Grenville, Townson, and Lord North enacted taxes on the American colonies such as the Stamp Act, Sugar Act, and the Tea Act.
After events like The Boston Tea Party and The Boston Massacre, the colonists were really mad at the British.
General Gage wanted to arrest Sam Adams and John Hancock. Colonists and British soldiers met at Lexington and Concord and began the Revolutionary War.
He wrote the Declaration of Independence claiming that Americans are entitled to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness
The Americans won the Revolutionary War at Yorktown in 1781, and gained independence!
