Graduate Student Research Assistant.Sep.2016 – Current
Department of Biostatistics, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI
- Evaluated 252 multiplicative and additive gene-environment interactions on ovarian cancer
- Found one significant interaction and provided an insightful interpretation which becomes the key to the project
- Harmonized and performed multiple imputations to gain power for interaction detection
- Created slides for procedure of the G-E analysis for 2016 conference of Ovarian Cancer Consortium Association
- Performed multiple imputations of use of menopausal therapy data while addressing some special requirements

Individual Student Researcher.Jan – Jun.2016
Department of Statistics, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI
- Studied theory of Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) and its application of Response Driven Sampling (RDS)
- Proposed two slight modifications of RDS and performed a simulation study to understand their characteristics
- Concluded that both modifications result in smaller mean square error (MSE) based on the simulation study

Observatory Intern.Jul.2016
Department of Evidence Generation, Medical Affairs, AstraZeneca China
- Created teaching materials explaining the p-value concept for non-statistician in the team
- Communicated with Dr. Wang for a better understanding of clinical trials

Big Data Summer Institute Student Researcher.Jun.2015
Department of Biostatistics, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI
- Attended the Undergraduate Summer Research Program which aimed to transform Analytical Learning in the Era of Big Data
- Developed critical concepts in Big Data within machine learning, optimization, Bayesian analysis
- Constructed a well-grounded idea for public health as a multi-discipline subject
- Initiated a 4-student group project concentrating on mortality rate of Dialysis Facility Data
