Hey everyone! I am Rohit, currently pursuing my Masters in Business Analytics from the University of Cincinnati. I have been in the analytics field for the last 4 years, working with three companies and enabling them take business decisions with the help of data. I strongly believe that “data is the oil of the 21st century” and extracting meaningful insights from the same has an edge over intuition based decisions.
I started my career as a novice analyst at Mu Sigma. Here I predicted supply chain service levels for the world’s largest networking equipment manufacturer and provided brand support for a portfolio of pharmaceutical drugs that generate a revenue of $1.3 billion annually.
Next, I worked in Ola, where I was a key member of the team setup to decide the strategy for an acquired competitor. My other projects include but not limited to: identifying bookings fraud, and designing schemes for partner cars.
The last company that worked for was Zynga, where I supported different game teams in feature analysis and led several data quality initiatives in the company.
Strangely, my work in R was very limited despite having been in this field for 4 years. Most of the R that I have learnt is through the bootcamp and datacamp courses. I am looking forward to this course.
