How Body Mass Index is calculated

BMI is the rough gauge of the ammount of muscle, fat and bone mass of a certain individual. This index can then can categorized in to different categorise such as underweight healthy and overweight. The formula used in this application is kilogram divided by height squared.

Categorization & Other Factors

The specifics for each othe these categorise are: Underweight if you are 18.5 index and below Healthy is your index is between 18.5 and 25.0 Overweight is your index is between 25.0 and 30.0 Severely overweight is your index is 30.0 and above


There are many other variables that will affect this categorization such as age group, ethnicity etc… but for the sake of this application we will be only providing a rough BMI.

Integration

The sidebar contains the two measurements for height and weight. For the range of both the height and weight is chose the range that reasonably covers the majority of humans.

All calculations are in real time and are simple enough not to need reactive transaction.
