Public Transportation Stops in The Netherlands

As most countries, The Netherlands have a widespread network of public transportation facilities. Some characteristics:

• There are about 10 transportation companies
• some operate on a regional level, some on a national scale
• Together they offer more than 55000 halting-places

This is an application that aims to give the user insight in the geographical spread of the halting-places across the country.

• Data is used from an open data source, available here
• All data dates from Oct. 5, 2015
• The application has been built with R Shiny, featuring an Esri style geographical map through Leaflet
