DC street map showing locations of the 6,305 car crashes that caused injuries over the 14 months from 4/1/15 to 5/27/16, including 1,180 major injuries and 35 fatalities. Chart of trend in daily casualties from crashes. Popup details describing each crash.
Initially, the DC street map defaults to showing only the small number of fatal crashes.
On the first sidebar drop-down menu, choose which type of crashes to display–minor, major or fatal, and in the second drop-down menu, or choose a narrower range of beginning and ending dates to display on map. Small sidebar chart showing trend line for daily total casualties from all types of crashes will respond to the menu choices, too.
Check a box below chart to breakdown trend line by wither weather or lighting conditions that may have affected the crashes, which are noted in popup details in for each map icon.
