The formla that takes these variables and calculates the eGFR is
\[eGFR = 186*(creatinine/88.4)^-1.154 * Age^-0.203 * (0.742 if female) * (1.210 if black)\]
A value of eGFR under 30 indicates severe renal impairment, between 31 and 60 is moderate renal impairment, and above 60 indicates normal renal function.
