This tool can be used to easily convert US measures of:

• Miles
• Inches
• Pounds
• Gallons

Into metric measures:

• Kilometers
• Centimeters
• Kilograms
• Liters

The method of inputs are as follows:

• Miles - slider, range: 1 - 1000
• Inches - numeric, range: 1 - 100
• Pounds - slider, range: 1 - 500
• Gallons - slider, range: 1 - 50

The forumlas used for the conversion are:

• km <- miles/0.62137
• cm <- inches*2.54
• kg <- pounds/0.45359237
• li <- gallons*3.785411784

With the following input values the metric equivalants are computed below:

miles = 50
inches = 24
pounds = 190
gallons = 9

km <- miles/0.62137

50  miles converts to  80.46735  kilometers

cm <- inches*2.54
cat(miles, " inches converts to ",cm," centimeters")

50  inches converts to  60.96  centimeters

kg <- pounds/0.45359237

190  pounds converts to  418.8783  kilograms

li <- gallons*3.785411784

9  gallons converts to  34.06871  liters
