Ez is lineouted both from Jamie’s OOPIC output and from Bernhard’s Vorpal 3D plot as comparison. However, they are off roughly by a factor of 2. The gradient from OOPIC is 2.35E11 V/m^2, while from Vorpal is 5.2E11 V/m^2. For now, I choose latter one in hybrid model. Further discussion needed. Er is estimated by assuming infinitely long uniform ion density inside blowout regime which is 9E11 V/m^2. Bphi is Er/2c.
The laser is basically same as the one in FACET simulation. Wavelength 800 nm. Spot size 5 um. Intensity 1 PW/cm^2.
About 10000 electrons are generated. The simulation length is about 4 cm which gives us 27 MeV beam. The normalized emittance in x is 1E-8 m.rad while in y is 1E-9 m.rad.
Note that scale of x and y are different. Like before, beam is flat in y due to laser’s linear polarization in x direction.
