Teamwork Project

https://goo.gl/GNkZxE

The main goal for this project is to promote "TEAMWORK"

Definition: "Teamwork is the combined action of a group of people, especially when effective and efficient."

What's being evaluated in this Project?

  • How well do we work as a team?

  • How effectively we collaborate?

  • How do we get motivated?

What we need to do as a Team?

From the project outline, we find the following:

Step 1: Brainstorm, roles assignments and agreement.

  1. Determine what data to collect.

  2. Where the data can be found.

  3. How to load the data.

The data that WE agree to collect needs to reside in a relational database, in a set of normalized tables.

AGREED: Tom and Dilip will do some webscrapping in Phyton and R respectively.

The Website to scrape will be https://www.paysa.com/

What we need to do as a Team?

From the project outline, we find the following:

Step 2: Hands on and Analysis

in R

  1. Need to perform data tidying.

  2. Need to transform the data.

  3. Need to explore the data.

  4. Need to analyze the data.

  5. While we are strongly encouraged (and will hopefully find it fun) it's being asked to try out statistics and data model.

Do we agree to include #5?

What we need to do as a Team?

From the project outline, we find the following:

Step 3: Reports

in R

  1. Include code.

  2. Include results.

  3. Include findings.

What we need to do as a Team?

From the project outline, we find the following:

Step 4: Presentation

As a group, we need to appoint three people to lead parts of the presentation. However, we ALL need to know what everyone is doing and need to do a follow up from time to time to be on the same page.

  1. Include code.

  2. Include results.

  3. Include findings.

  4. Include documentation of our motivation.

  5. Include documentation of approach.

What we need to do as a Team?

From the project outline, we find the following:

Every one of us must be prepared to explain the following:

  1. How the data was collected.
  2. How the data was loaded.
  3. How the data was transformed.
  4. How the data was tidied.
  5. How the data was analyzed for outliers.

This is the only way our professor will have to determine that everyone actively participated in the process, so WE need to hold responsible for understanding what every one of our team members did!
