Imbibit

The website www.imbibit.co.uk used to host a map-based interface to a database of Cathedrals and major places of workship as well as their choir’s favourite local pubs and eateries. There were links to the cathedral choir websites, as well as some of the pub and restaurant websites too. The site currently hosts some Excel spreadsheets and comma-separated-variable files with the data.

I asked my MSc Geocomputation students to recreate an interface using the R leaflet package as coursework last year: they know more about this than I do. I’ve tweaked the code. This web page was put together using rmarkdown in RStudio.

Please note that the last change to imbibit.co.uk was February 2014. One or two comments seemed to me to transcend the boundaries of le bon goût so they do not appear.
