Purpose of the tool
The mtcars Plot tool has been created in order to:
- Study mtcars dataset
- Enable studying the relationship between various car characterstics
- Determine which characterstics are correlated
mtcars dataset
mtcars data set contacts data on cars extracted from the 1974 Motor Trend US magazine, and comprises fuel consumption and 10 aspects of automobile design and performance for 32 automobiles (1973-74 models).

Pairs plot for mtcars - Problem statement
While we can look at the pairs plot it is quite difficult to read
Solution - mtcarsPlot App
To make it easy to look at relationsip between car characterstics instead of the pairs plot, we will use the mtcarsPlot App.
- User will select X and Y characterstics
- If required, the used can also look at a subset of the observations using the slider
- The application will plot the characterstics based on the user input
