Developing Data Products Reproducible Pitch

Introduction

This is my submission for the Shiny Application & Reproducible Pitch for Developing Data Products week 4 assignment. This application was developed to visiualize complaints received by Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection (between 2001 and 2016)

Ther are a total of 687,254 complaints and 12 distinct Complaint categories

The data set is available at Data.Gov

Usage directions:

This application consists of two parts.

Side Bar has a slider for selecting the range for year rang and the available Complaint Categories . These categories can be selectively chosen by clicking the check boxes or using the Select all check button at the bottom.

Main Panel has two tabs.
“Dataset” Tab displays dataset matches the selection criteria in the Side Bar

“Visualize the Data” displays data in graphical form for:

• Number of Compliants by Year
  
• Number of Complaints by Categories by Year
