Introduction

Welcome to this presentation where you will learn more about the passengers of Titanic.

The sinking of the Titanic is a famous event, and new books are still being published about it. Many well-known facts—from the proportions of first-class passengers to the ‘women and children first’ policy, and the fact that that policy was not entirely successful in saving the women and children in the third class—are reflected in the survival rates for various classes of passenger.

In this presentation we will show you the following information about Titanic’s passengers:
- The number and percentage of survivors/deads by classes
- The number of survivors/deads by family size

Survivors/deads by classes

We can see that more people from the 3rd class died than from the other classes.

Survivors/deads by family size

We can see that single people were more likely to die than people with a family.

Conclusion

In summary, we saw that passengers of the Titanic were more likely to die if they were in 3rd class and if they were single and more likely to survive if they were with family and on 1st class.
