Executive Summary

After forming a questionaire on Lifestyle choices, people from the Upper Middle Class were asked for responses. The questionarie was designed around traditional lifestyle choices and around modern lifestyle choices. The analysis was to determine the mean value of the choices of people in the Upper Middle Class. The analysis is based on preferences of lifestyle and not based on actual choices made by the respondents.

The finding are as follows.

  1. Majority of the people prefer Modern Life Style.
  2. Individual Item Preference of the Population indicate more choice for modern facilities.

Analysis

Analysis of Individual Life Style Preference and Life Style Preference of the Population

First, we find the mean Lifestyle Choices of the Respondents. If the Mean Life Style is towards “1”, it would mean that the preferred lifestyle is “Traditional”. If the Mean Life Style is towards “5”, it would mean that the preferred Life Style is “Modern”.

From the Histogram, we understand that more people prefer Modern LifeStyle, rather than Traditional LifeStyle.
