This is a brief look at the percent of wells in Maine towns that tested above the guidelines for acceptable levels of arsenic and flouride. The data comes from the Maine Tracking Network. This report only covers locations with more than 20 wells tested.

There was an interesting short article in the Portland Press Herald published in August 2014 that discussed the high flouride levels, especially in Hancock County. Here is a link to that article - (http://www.pressherald.com/2014/08/20/fluoride-levels-high-in-maines-well-water/).

The first table displayed here is of the top twenty towns that tested above the guidelines for the acceptable levels of arsenic. The second table shows the top twenty towns that tested above the guidelines for the acceptable levels of flouride. The last shows those towns that were in both the top twenty that tested above the acceptable guidelines for arsenic and for flouride.
