Introductory Biology

The course that I teach is Introduction to Experimental Biology. In this course, students are offered the opportunity to engage in Biology, learning the elements of technical descriptive writing, data analysis, and experimental design.

• This course is primarily for freshmen and sophomore students who intend to pursue a major in Biology, Molecular Biology, and Neuroscience.
• Occasionally we will have upperclassmen who take the course in order to enhance their writing skills. Most often, these are Chemistry and Biochemistry majors. Environmental Studies concentration students will also take this course.

We were asked to write about two classes that we teach, but this is the only class that I teach. I direct all introductory lab sections, and teach two of them.
