Introduction

Location analytics is geo-enabled business intelligence that aims to capitalize sales and revenue.

In Malaysia, location analytics is practiced only by real estate companies and chain stores.

Business Motivation

The development of Location analytics services, however, has been a challenge because of the following reasons:

  1. What are the important variables?
  2. What predictive mechanism to be used?
  3. How to evaluate the accuracy of predicted sales or revenue?

Proposed Solutions

Proposed solutions:

  1. Identify a set of common variables that are needed for all ranges of business. Customization of variables can be allowed.
  2. Use R and R Shiny as platform for web-based location analytics.
  3. Simulation is a good start. It should be followed by real data evaluation.
