For the sake of simplicity in these exploratory plots:
- D0 drought treatment uses 2.5gal/hr or 9.46L/hr drippers
- D1 drought treatment uses 2 gal/hr or 7.57L/hr drippers
- D2 drought treatment uses 1.5 gal/hr or 5.68L/hr drippers
Based on these rates we can say that at any given time the D1 treatment is receiving 80% of the water that the D0 treatment gets and the D2 receives 60% of the water that the D0 treatment gets.
Salt treatments began on July 18, 2015, 20 days before harvest on August 7th. The electrical conductivities of salt treatments are:
- S0 salinity treatment is irrigated with ~0.7 EC salted water
- S1 salinity treatment is irrigated with ~1.7 EC salted water
- S2 salinity treatment is irrigated with ~2.7 EC salted water
- S3 salinity treatment is irrigated with ~3.7 EC salted water
