About the Dataset

The dataset are related to the storm events in the USA from 1950 to 2011, through the shiny app we can explore all storms filtering by the year and the type of occurrences.

Some examples of occurrences are avalanche:

  • blizzard / winter storm
  • coastal flood or erosion / tide
  • coastal storm
  • cold and windchill
