Objective

The Shiny App documented here was part of the Coursera “Shiny Application and Reproducible Pitch”, wich has as a goal learn how to create simple Shiny web applications and R packages for data products as well as reproducible presentations and interactive graphics.

Data

The World Development Indicators App was inspired by the Google Public Data Graphs for Life Expectancy in the World.

The data was collected in the World Bank Organisation website in 2016-01-25 http://wdi.worldbank.org/table/2.21#.

We worked with the Life Expectancy at birth data for the 6 regions listed below:

East Asia & Pacific, Europe & Central Asia, Latin America & Caribbean, Middle East & North Africa, South Asia and Sub Saharan Africa.

App

The app was build to compare the Life Expectancy from the world against the six regions listed above, for the year 1990 and 2013.

The app can be visualized in https://stenara.shinyapps.io/Life/ and the GitHub link for it is <>.
