• Uses two datasets that ship with R, so no downloads are needed:
  • quakes: 1,000 earthquakes near Fiji since 1964
  • ChickWeight: weights of chicks raised on 4 different diets
• Every plot is interactive: hover, zoom, rotate, click legend items, or press Play

Drag to rotate. The tilted sheet of quakes traces the Tonga plate sinking under the Pacific.

Bigger earthquakes are picked up by more seismic stations, which is an almost linear relationship.

Diet 3 produces the heaviest chicks by day 21. Click a diet in the legend to hide or show it.
