Test Title No.4

This is a test paragraph made in order to exhibit the output of a QMD file with different Markdown syntax, using the famous quote “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy” from “The Shining” as example.

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.

All work and no play makes Jack a dead boy.

CHAPTER 3: Jack the Tragic One

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, but he knows well that it has to be this way.

“Keep working and studying hard, my boy! It’s the key to a better self!” said Papa Moris, but all work and study only makes Jack a dull boy, depressed by the burden and exhaustion of the harsh reality he’s been suffering from. “C’mon, you’re just too fragile to handle stress.” “It’s not that much of a big problem, I don’t see why you had to crash out like that.” “Why can’t you just deal with it like a normal adult?”

Jack’s been told many, many things like these, he knows deep down that plenty of the problems and obstacles in his life could have been easily solved if he was able to man up a little bit and confront them, however, all he did each time was simply run away and then complain in agony about what a pathetic man he is.

Jack sometimes ponders, sitting in his dimming bedroom with ol’ pop and mom’s yelling echoing from downstairs, why and how he has become the person he is. All those phrases loop in his brain, stinging him endlessly. He doesn’t want to run anymore, he is sick and tired of being a self-destroying coward, sick and tired of being sick and tired. But again, Jack couldn’t conquer his flaws, he couldn’t face the obstacles, the responsibility, and the judgment waiting for him to face.

Jack slit his wrist with his rusty cutter, and the white floor tiles were suddenly covered in red. Jack doesn’t feel any pain, he senses nothing but the fluid warmth flowing down his arm, with dizziness gradually drowning his mind. It could be that he’s already numb inside.

“Oh Christ… what a bastard am I…” words leak out from Jack’s lips before complete darkness conquers his mind.
