What is the ratio of lost, dead, and discarded salmon for each county?
Total Losses: There is one distinct outlier in the dataset when it comes to salmon losses by county. Rogaland exceeds 250,000,000 lost salmon over the 5 years of data collection. The rest of the counties within the dataset all have around 100,000,000 losses from the same time frame, with Vestland being only slightly above and Agder being significantly below.
Total Dead: The counties within the dataset have significant variation when it comes to recorded salmon deaths. Agder has the least being just above 30,000,000, and Vestland has the most, hovering around 110,000,000.
Total Discarded: We see another outlier here, with Vestland having around 8,000,000 discarded salmon over the period of data collection. Agder has the least, just above 2,000,000, and the rest of the coubnties are between 3,000,000 and 4,500,000.
Based on this highlighted portion of the dataset, I can interperet that Agder is either a significantly smaller county than the rest, or it lacks suitable habitat for salmon to be found in alltogether. The outlier in the Total Losses graph, Rogaland, may be due to outdated sample collection methodology. The outlier of Vestland in the Total Discarded graph may be due to a difference in conservation regulations, which allows them to do so.
