Who Am I?
Benson Wong
I am a graduate student with a background in competitive swimming, sports administration, and business analytics. I grew up in Hong Kong and spent many years competing as an elite swimmer, specialising primarily in breaststroke. I represented Hong Kong internationally at competitions including the Asian Games and World University Games and was a two-time Hong Kong national record holder in the short-course 200m breaststroke.
I later continued my academic and swimming career in the United States at Indiana University and the University of Cincinnati as a college athlete.
I am currently pursuing a Master of Science in Business Analytics while being a Grad Assistant Coach for Xavier University’s Swimming Team.

Experience with R and other software
I took one or two classes in rudimentary data science when I was in undergrad in Indiana University, and I had the opportunity to learn the basics of R. Although mostly forgotten, I’ve been picking it back up slowly with the help of current coursework in Data Wrangling. During the summer, I’ve also learnt to use python where I wrote a software that helps automate file fetching within the network drive of the compliance office back in UC, improving office productivity.
