Approach

I will use the movie ratings I collected for the Week 2 assignment. The file contains 36 ratings from six participants for six movies.

I will follow the Global Baseline Estimate steps shown in the course spreadsheet. First, I will calculate the overall average rating. I will then calculate the participant bias and movie bias by comparing their averages with the overall average. I will add these values to estimate a movie rating.

My survey data does not contain a missing rating, so I will temporarily remove one known rating before doing the calculations. I will use the remaining 35 ratings to make the estimate and then compare it with the original rating. I will keep the original CSV unchanged.
