Housing

1. New Housing Units and New Households, 2019-2024

The growth in housing units has been commensurate with the growth in population but varied across the region. New households are approximated using the change in occupied housing units (Census does not report a separate “new households” count). Tricounty Region sits at the top, followed by Counties, then Cities/Towns at the bottom, each sorted A-Z, with lines separating the three groups.

2. Housing Units by Structure Type Over Time

While median listing prices have flattened since the post-pandemic period, the listing prices remain well above 2019 levels.
