DATA 607 Assignment 3B - Approach

Approach

For this assignnment, I hope to utilize daily weather data for Barcelona and New York City. I will concentrate on daily average temperature and format the data by city and date. Implementing R and dplyr, I will categorize the observations by city and compute the year-to-date average temperature and the 6-day moving average for every city. I expect challenges, however. I would have to ensure the dates are in proper order and verify any missing observations. Making sure the computations are separated by city, in order to not confuse the values. I will finish with a comparison between the 6-day moving averages and the year-to-date averages to evaluate short-term vs long-term change.
