About me
My name is Nicholas Gest, I am 21 years old and was born in Ohio. I have lived in San Antonio most of my life, moving here when i was 2 due to my dad being in the military.
I am a student at the University of Texas at San Antonio. I am in my 4th and final year as a senior studying Business Analytics.
I went to high school at School of Science and Technology on Wurzbach Pkwy, my graduating class was 58 people, very very low. I have been at UTSA ever since, never swapping schools. Numbers always interested me when i would understand them, which makes a business analytics degree perfect for me
I do not have any professional work done relating to business analytics, rather becoming a server at a restaurant for my time of being able to have jobs. If it has taught me anything, it has increased my dexterity when it comes to multitasking and allocating the right amount of time to each task in order to get them all done swiftly.
My experience with R and Data mining have been in past classes at UTSA, mainly using R and SAS code to run ANOVA models, correlation models, and data cleaning
Some other data analytic software i have used is Tableau, in one of my classes with Jamie Humphries. It is very visual rather than writing code, which had helped me as i am a very visual learner.
