The University of Liberia (UL), through its Center for Testing and Evaluation (CTE), regularly conducts entrance examinations and aptitude assessments as integral components of its admissions procedure. For the year 2026, these entrance exams and aptitude tests were administered to applicants across six programs: Undergraduate Colleges, Straz-Sinje Technical and Vocational College, Graduate School, A.M. Doglioti College of Medicine, School of Pharmacy, and the Louis Arthur Grimes School of Law.

\(\color{red}{\textbf{Exam Registration Period:}}\) From 2017 to 2025, the CTE thoughtfully offered two Undergraduate Entrance Exams each year, giving students multiple opportunities to succeed. Looking ahead to 2026, we’re excited to share that a second Undergraduate Entrance Exam will also be available, further supporting students in their academic journeys.

Company Schools : These schools are built and operated by companies, and they are attended by the children of the companies’ employees as well as other children..
Community Schools: Schools established through community initiatives and/or County Development Projects will later transition to public schools.
Private Schools : Those schools that are run or established by individuals.
Faith-Based Schools: Schools that are operated or created by religious institutions.
Public Schools : Government-owned schools
- A total of eleven thousand, two hundred seventy-eight (11,278)
candidates registered for the Undergraduate Entrance Exams. Three
hundred sixty-one (361 or 3.20%) candidates were absent. Ten thousand,
nine hundred seventeen (10,917 or 96.8%) candidates participated in the
exam.
Of the ten thousand, nine hundred seventeen (10,917 or 96.8%) candidates who participated in the exam, three thousand, six hundred ninety-five (3,695 or 33.85%) passed. Conversely, six thousand, eight hundred seventeen (6,817 or 62.44%) were unsuccessful, and four hundred five (405 or 3.71%) incorrectly shaded their Exam Numbers.
Of the three thousand, six hundred ninety-five (3,695 or 33.85%) candidates who passed, two thousand, thirty-four (2,034 or 55.05%) are female and one thousand, six hundred sixty-one (1,661 or 44.95%) are male.
- A total of six hundred thirty-two (632) candidates registered for the
Graduate School Aptitude Test (GSAT). Eighteen (18 or 2.85%) candidates
were absent. 614 (97.15%) candidates participated in the test.
Of the six hundred fourteen (614 or 97.15%) candidates who took the test, five hundred eleven (511 or 83.22%) passed. Conversely, one hundred two (102 or 16.61%) were unsuccessful, and one (1 or 0.16%) was disqualified for cheating.
Of the five hundred eleven (511 or 83.22%) candidates who passed, two hundred three (203 or 39.73%) were female, while three hundred eight (308 or 60.27%) were male.
- A total of three hundred nineteen (319) candidates registered for the
Medical School Aptitude Test (MSAT). 9 candidates (2.82%) were absent.
Two hundred ten (310) candidates, or 97.18%, participated in the
Aptitude Test.
Of the three hundred ten (310) candidates who participated in the test, forty (40 or 12.90%) passed. Conversely, two hundred fifty-four (254 or 81.94%) were unsuccessful, and sixteen (16 or 5.16%) were disqualified for cheating.
Of the forty (40 or 12.90%) candidates who passed, seventeen (17 or 42.50%) were female, while twenty-three (23 or 57.50%) were male.
- A total of thirty-six (36) candidates registered for the School of
Pharmacy Aptitude Test (PSAT). One (1 or 2.78%) candidate was
absent.
Out of the thirty-five (35) candidates who participated in the test, sixteen (16 or 45.71%) passed. Conversely, eighteen (18 or 51.43%) were unsuccessful, and one (1 or 2.86%) was disqualified for cheating.
Of the sixteen (16 or 45.71%) who passed, six (6 or 37.50%) were female, while ten (10 or 62.50%) were male.

The results of the UL 2026 Aptitude Test for Graduate School could be categorized into four (4) groups:

Registration opened on April 6, as planned, and ended on Monday, May 11, 2026. Candidates applying for Graduate and Professional Schools registrations lasted until May 30, 2026. A total of 11,278 candidates (5,251 or 46.56% males and 6,027 or 53.44 % females) registered for the Undergraduate Programs, while a total of 1,467 candidates (871 or 59.37% males and 596 or 40.63% females) registered for the Graduate and Professional Schools.
The Undergraduate Computer-based Entrance Exams were scheduled to begin on Monday, May 18, 2026. However, the administration did not follow through on our request (expert advice from experts) made on April 14, 2026. Consequently, the Undergraduate Computer-based Entrance Exams were not administered.
On April 14, 2026, with an expected 1,000 to 1,500 computer-based applicants for the CTE-UL 2026 First Entrance Exam and Aptitude Test, the Center for Testing and Evaluation (CTE) kindly requested permission to use the designated computer laboratories from May 15 to June 31, 2026. The requested labs are: 1. The TDEL Lab, 2. The Engineering Lab, and 3. The Mathematics Department Lab.
The Undergraduate Paper-based Test was administered on Saturday, May 30,2026 as planned. Those candidates who registered for the Undergraduate Computer-based were asked to take the Paper-based test since there was no computer lab made available for the tests.

| On Monday, May 25, 2026, the CTE held the Examiners’ Workshop. We’ve learned from past experiences that during the last two tests, the attendees didn’t have water to stay hydrated. This time, we made sure to keep everyone comfortable and out of the heat because we wanted to uphold our integrity and take good care of our participants. |
