Luxembourg is one of Europe’s most diverse countries. Its population has grown rapidly over recent decades, driven largely by immigration, and nearly half of its residents are foreign nationals. The composition of nationalities varies considerably across municipalities. While Luxembourgers remain the largest nationality nationwide, foreign communities differ in size and prominence from one commune to another.
Leveraging data from the National Register of Natural Persons (RNPP) managed by the State Information Technology Centre (CTIE), this interactive application enables users to explore the five most represented nationalities in each commune of Luxembourg. For easier comparison of foreign communities, Luxembourgers can optionally be excluded from the visualization.
